December shows!

Hope you can make it out this week to hear Mike and I play another Wednesday night gig at Angelo's. We've been working up some interesting arrangements of standards, pop songs, and some of my originals. The food and drinks are always good and it's such a cozy space.... It should be a great night!

Then next weekend I'm playing in an Eagles cover band as part of Covers for Cover 8, an annual benefit rock show! Female rockers cover their fave bands, proceeds go to cover homeless pregnant teens. The band is Little Queens: Aerin Tedesco, Andrea Bunch, John Mead, Debbie Kaczynski, Greg Nergaard, and Steve Alspach; awesome musicians all around. Since we'll be a female-powered band playing all Eagles songs, we'll be "The shEagles." It's going to be amazing.

The Covers for Cover rock music benefit series was created and is produced by Mia Park, a rock drummer and host of the cult favorite kid's dance show, "Chic-A-Go-Go. Mia started Covers for Cover in 2006 as a way to empower local female rock musicians to raise funds for the female homeless population. By playing cover songs, the musicians could provide cover, and Covers for Cover was born. This year the event benefits Response-Ability Pregnant and Parenting Program (RAPPP), the only homeless shelter in Chicago working with pregnant or parenting teen moms.
