Revisiting songs I've written, one draw at a time.
I started this project in the summer of 2020 as a way to keep my musical and performance chops up while sheltered at home. The regular discipline of making these videos gave me a reason to keep my creative juices flowing, especially in the midst of such a difficult time in history. It was a great way to reflect on my songs, to see how they've aged and how they've developed new meaning, and to put them out into the world again.
I honestly don't know how I created 75 of these videos in the midst of the quarantine blur. I guess it proves that huge things are possible when you just do one bit at a time. That having a discipline is grounding when everything has become untethered. That taking a break when you just can't make it happen doesn't mean you won't be able to do it later. That if you open the door to creativity, inspiration will arrive. I also learned a lot about recording and editing. And, as with any creative project, I learned a lot about myself.
