For 18 years, volunteers at Covers for Cover have brought together trans, nonbinary and cis women artists to raise funds for Chicago women and girls in need. This year we rock for Brave Space Alliance, the Black-Led, Trans-Led LGBTQ+ Center on the south side of Chicago. BSA provides accessible, culturally competent resources to our siblings who live where there is a huge gap in advocacy.
I will be performing in "Heroine," the Sinéad O'Connor tribute, featuring Aerin Tedesco, John Mead, Miranda Jones, and Tami Peden. We play at about 8:15pm!

WBEZ is proud to partner with Harmonica Dunn and Suburban Unity Alliance for the second annual Food Aid Festival, a two-day musical celebration addressing food insecurity in Chicago’s Westside communities and neighboring suburbs.
Food Aid's mission is to eliminate individuals and their families from experiencing hunger. We believe that food insecurity should not exist, as the right to food is a human right. Through music and entertainment, Food Aid will serve as an important funding source for interconnected community organizations and initiatives aimed at addressing food insecurity.
Proceeds from this event will benefit Unity Fridges (SUA), Beyond Hunger, A House In Austin, Austin Eats Initiative, Best of Proviso Township, and Westchester Food Pantry.
Day 1 will take place at Exit Strategy Brewing Co. in Forest Park. Artists include The Shams Band, The Heavy Sounds, Cheryl Tomblin (Pipes), and School of Rock (Oak Park).
Day 2 will take place at Scoville Park in downtown Oak Park. Artists include Second Hand News (Fleetwood Mac tribute), FURY, Michele McGuire, and School of Rock (Oak Park). Additional programming will be held at the Oak Park Library.
Join us as we work to eliminate food insecurity through the power of music & conversation. More information at www.foodaidfestival.com
